We finally completed our patch set for hiking at Gettysburg this weekend. Over the last few years, we have been camping on the battlefield as a troop and doing hikes of various mileage, as well as learning more about Gettysburg so that we could earn pieces of a patch set. We’ve been working on this as a troop for 3 years now and this weekend, after two final hikes, we finished it.
To celebrate, our scoutmaster took us to dinner at an all you can eat buffet instead of us cooking back at camp like we normally do. It was really good food and there was a lot of it.
